Dear moms still waiting for their babes-
I know this weekend is hard for you. I know you’re probably feeling bitter because you feel like you aren’t a mother…and each time mother’s day rolls around– you are reminded (as if it’s not always weighing on your heart anyway) that your arms are still empty…and that the hole in your heart is gaping bigger by the second.
You are reminded what you don’t have and how stinking unfair life really is. I’m sure you’ll even think to yourself “by next year, I KNOW I’ll be a mother. I have to be”… And you know what I say to that?
You are already a mother!
It’s evident in the love you show your friends and your neighbors. It shines through each time you help someone in need. It’s there when you find yourself crying in the bathroom over another negative pregnancy test.
You were born to be a mother.
And, while your babies may not be here in Earth with us just yet– you deserve the celebration.
You are a mother, and don’t you dare forget that!
